We'll be celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord
with a sunrise service on Easter morning.
This is always a time of sincere worship and praise to the King of Kings.
Recent Events
Over 100 people enjoyed a candlelight Christmas eve service this year.
The service was highlighted with children's caroling,
as well as the Christmas story being told by "The Forgetful Shepherd.
The children in the congregation were more than happy to be a part
of the old shepherd's recollection of what happened on that glorious night.
Our annual "Gifts for the Christ Child" offering was again a heart felt time
of sharing the love of Jesus with those in need.
Two families received Christmas gifts from our congregation
in the spirit of the coming of Christ and His loving kindness.
On December 18th a hearty caravan of carolers ventured out into our
neighborhoods to bring the songs of our Savior's birth to people in their homes.
It was a wonderful time of fellowship and Christmas cheer shared.
The Ladies' Fellowship shared an evening of food and relaxation
on December 2nd with a pot luck supper. They laughed as they
shared the Christmas stories of their youths.
On Sunday, November 20th our church body gave two local families
Thanksgiving baskets full of a wide variety of food so that they
might also enjoy the blessings that God has poured out on our congregation.
The evening of October 22nd was great fun as about seventy people
enjoyed a delicious pot luck supper followed by a talent show.
The show featured several musicians, poetry, some comic sketches,
and even an eleven man jug band! The final twenty minutes of entertainment
included a sequence of highlights from our choirs' former cantata performances,
played on the piano by Lloyd Bradbury. He was then joined by Maggie Emmons
as they played a combination of America the Beautiful, our service anthems,
and the national anthem. Pastor Brian shared a brief, but powerful message
to cap off our evening. It was a time of many laughs and wonderful fellowship.
There were twenty-three people from Pleasant Hill who attended
the Robin Mark concert on September 10th, and were we ever blessed!
It was a truly enjoyable time of being in God's presence,
among His people, praising and honoring the King of Kings.
Our summer picnic was loads of fun, although the heat
forced most of our activity into the cool of the church basement.
There were more than enough grins,
and plenty of food to feed young and old alike.
Pastor John Sorice of EGMI shared a powerful message about prayer
on July 3rd. Pastor John also announced that he is planning a fall
trip to Tanzania to continue the evangelistic work that God has called him to.

On Saturday, June 4th we enjoyed a terrific pot luck supper,
and laughed together afterwards as we tried to answer animal trivia questions.
It was a truly enjoyable time of fellowship and relaxation,
giggles and belly laughs, an event that always helps to build friendships
and provide encouragement to all who attend.
Over 50 hearty souls participated in a beautiful Easter morning sunrise service,
and later that same morning the full congregation celebrated
the resurrection of our lord Jesus Christ. What a gift it is to worship the living God!
On Saturday, April 9th the womens' fellowship treated the men
of the church to a wonderful breakfast that rivaled a king's table.
That was followed by the annual spring clean up of the church,
which the men were then more than glad to assist with.
